Description:
The path up the corrie is unremittingly steep and bouldery, but this gives plenty of excuses to stop, turn round and admire the view. Upper Loch Torridon is framed between the western end of Liathach and the side of the corrie. Behind are other Torridon peaks, including Beinn Liath Mhor and Maol Chean-dearg.

Looking south west from the summit of Tom na Gruagaich
As the rest of the party emerged from the corrie on to the summit plateau, I sat on the first summit, looking beyond them across the Minch to the Skye Cuillin.

Looking northeast from the same spot as the previous shot, is the view of the route ahead. Sgurr Mhor, the highest summit on Beinn Alligin, with its amazing landslip, cutting into it and beyond the "Horns". Not for us with snow on the ground, we decided after a few milliseconds discussion.

Description:
This is a view of the rather vertiginous summit of Tom na Gruagaich (The Maiden's Knoll), hence the rather tense expressions of the summit party. In the background is the valley of Abhainn Coire Mhic Nobuil. A good path through here provides a fine walk for when the tops are in cloud, around the back of Liathach, emerging between it and Beinn Eighe back on to the road.
