Do not criticise the photographer! It is not just Pisa that has a leaning tower. This is the 13th century Oude Kerk.
At one end of the market square is the Nieuwe Kerk, completed in 1655
At the other end of the square is the City Hall
The statue Hugo de Groot 1563 - 1645 stands facing the City Hall. He is a famous Dutch intellectual, perhaps the first internationalist.
